MAR 08 | International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day isn't just for global corporations or keynote panels; it’s a powerful window into the human infrastructure of your business. Use it on your channels as an opportunity to move past the logo and highlight the real people, grit, and values that keep your operations moving forward.

Option 1: To Foster Community — “The Connection”/Referral

The Strategy: Use your platform to act as a connector. By shouting out others, you demonstrate that your business is part of a thriving ecosystem rather than an island. This is designed to drive tags and mentions.

The Example: Success is a team sport. For International Women’s Day, I’m shouting out three women whose expertise makes my business better: [Tag 1, 2, and 3]. I wouldn't be where I am without them. Tag a woman-owned business in the comments that everyone should have on their radar.

Option 2: To Highlight Brand Voice — “The Expectation vs. Reality” / Relatable

The Strategy: Pull back the curtain on the ‘glamour’ of business. This builds trust through transparency and usually earns shares to Stories because others see themselves in your reality.

The Example: Happy International Women’s Day. People think my job is all [Fancy Aspect], but today it’s actually 90% [Relatable Reality, e.g., chasing invoices and cold coffee]. Cheers to everyone out there wearing eighteen hats at once and making it look easy. Double-tap if you’re currently wearing at least three different hats today.

Option 3: To Establish Authority — “The Mentor”/Wisdom

The Example: Share a Year One lesson to position yourself as an experienced leader. This creates high-value, saveable content that followers will want to refer to.

The Example: If I could give my Year One self one piece of advice for International Women’s Day, it would be this: [Insert one sentence of wisdom, e.g., Done is better than perfect]. Everything changed once I started operating from that mindset. Save this post if you need a reminder to trust your gut this week.
